Inside our kennels
Preparations are made prior to your dogs arrival to make sure that the kennel size and location meet your dogs requirements and needs. We have single kennels and family size kennels. Only dogs from the same household are permitted to share a kennel.
The kennel blocks are double glazed and have heating or air conditioning depending on the time of year, so that your pet is comfortable all year round, we also have additional heat lamps in case the weather gets extremely cold.
Our kennel lay out is designed to create and maintain a calmer environment, our kennels are side by side they do not face each other and our 38 kennels are set over 4 blocks so if your pet is elderly, nervous or doesn't like other dogs then we have plenty of choice for them to enjoy their stay. We also have music playing for the dogs all day.
Our boarders have 2 exercise sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon planned out in our grassed paddocks with 2 additional enrichment sessions, which could include tug of war, playing frisbee, snuffle mats, puzzle toys, kongs, grooming or cuddle time, whichever your pet wants. All our boarders go out to the toilet 4 times whilst staff are on site and then once later on in the evening.
We feed twice daily unless otherwise specified, we ask that you bring your pets own food and treats to avoid any upset tummies. Beds, bedding and bowls are provided but you are welcome to bring blankets or something else that smells of home.
Medication is administered at no extra charge, we do ask that if medication is needed to be given out of our staff working times then please call to discuss this so that preparations can be made.
Vaccination cards must be shown on arrival or a photograph emailed prior to each stay. The vaccinations required are the annual core vaccinations and the additional kennel cough vaccine which if not up to date must be administered 3 weeks prior to the arrival date.
In the unlikely event that your pet becomes unwell, we will try to contact yourselves or your emergency contact for advice, in the case of an emergency your pet will be taken to the nearest vets whether that is your registered vets or our registered vet.
Below are our presidential kennels, each of these give your dog access to their own outside area all day via the side door in the warmer weather or a dog flap in the colder weather, plus they still get their exercise/enrichment sessions in the paddocks. Our presidential kennels are an extra £7.50 per day and are perfect for dogs that love being outside in all weathers.
